Britse internetdaters blijken buren te zijn

LONDEN - Een Brits stel dat elkaar leerde kennen via een datingsite bleek al zeventien jaar lang in dezelfde straat te wonen.
Pas na enkele weken online contact kwamen lerares Julie McIlroy (46) en elektricien Allan Donnely (53) daarachter, berichtte dagblad South Wales Echo woensdag.
"Ik zei dat ik naar de winkel was geweest in Cardiff en noemde de naam van de zaak", aldus lerares Julie McIlroy (46).
"Allan zei dat hij ook altijd naar die winkel ging. Toen hij de straatnaam noemde waar hij woont, bleek dat slechts enkele woningen ons scheidden." McIlroy dacht eerst dat het om een grap ging, tot ze bij Donnely op de thee ging.
Het paar is van plan binnenkort in het huwelijksbootje te stappen. "We passen heel goed bij elkaar. Ik ben een zeer gelukkig man", aldus Donnely.
