Company boss offers two-month holiday to burglars

A Norwegian company boss is offering a two-month holiday to burglars who keep breaking in. Bergen Energy managing director Bill Schjelderup says paying for the holiday would be cost-effective. He says recent burglaries have cost the company over one million crowns, or £86,000. He told the Bergens Tidende newspaper: "This is completely crazy. We can't take any more. "If the thieves will report in I'm willing to give them a two-month southern holiday, plus spending money." He added: "It would cost me less than security equipment and other losses." He thinks the same burglars are responsible for the repeated break-ins. Aftenposten says the latest was yesterday which followed another two weeks ago.
