"Maxima had only one goal in the comics as far as I could determine, and that was to bear Superman's child. She tried everything in the book to get him to mate with her, including trying to rape him, as she had Kryptonian-level strength. Didn't work... the big guy had too much self control. Just shows that Supergirl's don't always get their way."
